Sometimes it's crazy being a work at home mom!! People do not realize how hard it can be especially if you have preschoolers. The constant demand is well, constant. It's the home phone, cell phone, email, neighbors, and etc..And, then all over again! I get asked a lot about how I take time for myself and honestly, I usually don't. It makes the life we want as moms and momprenuers hard to balance but there has to be a trick to it.
So, here are some things I found.
1. Create a schedule and stick with it--time management is a habit like anything else, so commit yourself to the idea of following a detailed schedule for two weeks and see how you do.
2. Hire a mom's helper if possible or try to set boundaries for your kiddos in your home. Offer them certain areas and activities they can do while you work.
3. Keep your work place organized to avoid the clutter tarp--which also hampers productivity because you are running around all day looking for things!
4.Make Open & Closed signs so you are not tempted to work when you shut down--20 times :)
5.Get dressed for work or just fix yourself up so you are not in pjs all day everyday.
6. Avoid cabin fever and get out a bit--leave at the same time each day.
